Take Love Teams

Get a group together from your school or youth group to form a Take Love Team and volunteer on the frontline of our work. There are opportunities all year round but places fill quickly!

Aged Care

Anglicare has over 44 aged care facilities where we are committed to supporting the older people of our generation. Take Love Teams that go into our aged care facilities might find themselves putting on musical performances, having one on one conversations with residents, decorating the facilities, or doing general maintenance.

Over 500,000 people pass through our 19 Anglicare Shops each year looking for affordable clothing. We stock the shelves with good quality donated goods and all the money that comes in is used to fund other Anglicare programs. Volunteering in our Shops may involve refurbishing the Shop, dressing the mannequins, cleaning things up and welcoming the customers that pass through.

Hamper Packing

Anglicare’s Toys ‘n’ Tucker campaign runs every year. Food items and toys are collected from churches, schools and other organisations and packaged into hampers to be given to those in need at Christmas. Take Love Teams can come in to our warehouse at Villawood to pack the hampers and help sort through the toys to make sure kids receive a gift they will enjoy.

Mobile Community Pantry

The Mobile Community Pantry is run in partnership with the local church. The van, stocked with pantry items, rocks up to particular churches every week to give customers an opportunity to pay $10 and then fill up a bag with anything they want. Take Love Teams can come and serve tea and coffee to customers and help restock and shelves.

Special Events

Anglicare often hosts special events in which we need teams of volunteers to help lend a hand. This might involve doing a musical performance, wrapping gifts or helping set up. Keep a close eye on the Anglicare Instagram for notifications as to when we specifically need these teams.
